These apps include Sweet Selfie HD, Beauty Cam, Selfie Camera, Viva Video Editor, Applock, Dual Space Lite and Tencent Giver.

India banned 59 Chinese apps, including TicTac, WeChat and Hello, in June last year, calling them a threat to the country's sovereignty and security.

India has banned about 300 Chinese apps since May 2020, following tensions over the Ladakh border and bloody clashes with Chinese troops.

India first banned the Chinese app in June 2020 after 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a clash with Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh.

Tensions between the two countries' armies began in eastern Ladakh on May 5, 2020. Tensions escalated on June 15 when at least 20 Indian soldiers were killed in clashes.
