Australia overtook India and New Zealand

They are the champions of the latest T20 World Cup. The number one batsman in the Tests is Marnus Labushan. Pat Cummins is also the No. 1 Test bowler. This time, Australia also rose to the top of the ICC Test team rankings.

In today's rankings, Cummins' team has risen to No. 1, surpassing India and New Zealand. Australia last topped the Test rankings in January 2021. India have dropped to three after losing the series against South Africa. New Zealand retained the No. 2 spot in the series draw against Bangladesh. Australia has 119 rating points, New Zealand 118 and India 118.

Australia beat England 4-0 on home soil in the Ashes. After winning the first Test in Brisbane by 9 wickets, the hosts won the day and night Test in Adelaide by 265 runs. The series was won by an innings and 14 runs in just three days in the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, leaving Chaidani with them. Despite England's thrilling draw in Sydney, they flew to Hobart again, Australia winning again in three days.

On the other hand, India, which is at No. 1 in the rankings, started the series against South Africa with a win at Centurion. However, defeats in Johannesburg and Cape Town did not fulfill their dream of winning the series for the first time on South African soil.

And New Zealand lost to Bangladesh at Mount Manganui, the first rate of all versions against Bangladesh on their own soil. However, in the second Test, they won by an innings in Christchurch. A 1-1 series draw is enough to hold the place in the rankings for the Test world champions.

South Africa are one step ahead in the series win against India. Pakistan is one step behind in the team rankings. Other parties have retained their previous positions. Bangladesh is at number 9 with 53 rating points, followed by Zimbabwe with only 31 rating points.

There was also a change in the rankings of the players published earlier. Australian batsman Travis Head, who is seven steps ahead after a great century in Hobart, rose to No. 5 along with India's Rohit Sharma. India's former captain Virat Kohli has come up two steps ahead. New Zealand's acting captain Tom Latham has risen to number 10 after two centuries against Bangladesh in Christchurch.
